Murla is at the foot of the Cavall Verd mountain and is a quiet, calm town with narrow streets full of charm. The festivities of the Divine Aurora and the Blessed Christ are in August and in January, San Sebastian is celebrated. The spectacular fortified church is the most outstanding architectural work of the town and during the 16th century it was the object of numerous attacks by Redbeard's pirates. At the foot of the temple´s tower is the old washing press which is still used to this day. Also worth visiting are the Chapel of the Blood - it served as a medieval hospital - and the Chapel of San Sebastián - the oldest in the Valencian Community, it dates from the 14th century.
